OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- A Holland Township Street was shut down for about two hours after a mid-morning accident. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Brent Converse said the accident happened just after 10:30 A.M. this morning when 66-year-old Al Tran of Holland Township did not stop at the traffic light on 120th Avenue at James Streetand ran into the side of a box truck driven by Stephen Schuette. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the truck's gas ank was punctured and leaking onto the road. The Holland Township Fire Department and the Ottawa County Road Commission cleaned up the fuel spill. Both Tran and his passenger, 52-year-old Michelle Tran received minor injuries in the accident. The driver of the truck was not injured. No word on what, if any, charges will be brought against Tran.
