ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department has been a bit busy over the last day. A traffic stop on Tuesday evening on 40th Street and Grafschap Road for a traffic violation resulted in the Holland Police K-9 unit assisting in a search of the vehicle. The dog was alerted to the presence of drugs and officers found what appeared to be marijuana in the vehicle. The drugs have been sent to the lab and charges are pending against the driver. Another incident involving the possibility of drugs was reported on Tuesday evening. A Casco Township homeowner called a report of suspicious bottles in his yard. The deputy dispatched to the home suspected they were the remains of a one pot meth lab. They were disposed of as hazardous waste.
