HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- A contest created by the city of Holland has been declared a “rousing success” by the Recycle/Solid Waste Education Coordinator. Mary Ann Hensley said that there were twelve outings scheduled for the "I Love to Recycle" contest and only two were rained out. Guest inspectors went out with a representative from Chef Container and many times, Hensley herself. The inspectors included the City Manager Ryan Cotton, City Councilmen, Mike Trethewey and Jay Peters and 1450 WHTC. One year of free trash and recycling pickup was awarded to three families.
