LANSING, MI (WTVB) - There is good news from Michigan’s orchards, after a dismal year last year. The apple crop has sprung back and they expect to harvest more than 30-million bushels, or about ten times more than last year. In fact it’s one of the largest crops they have ever seen. Last year’s crop was devastated by a freakishly warm March that tricked the trees into budding early, only to be wiped out by frosts in April.
