HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - With two of the four State House Representatives representing the Lakeshore term-limited out of office after next year, hopefuls for their seats are starting to angle for position now. Former Allegan County Commissioner Terry Burns last month announced his intention to run for the spot currently occupied by Bob Genetski. Yesterday, one-time Holland City Councilman Shawn Miller said that he wants to take over in the Lower Chamber for Joe Haveman, who was also a one-time member of the Tulip City's governing panel before going to Lansing. The other two local House lawmakers are expected to run for reelection, with Amanda Price still eligible for one more two-year term, while Roger Victory is currently in his first term.
