UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources wants the public to know that there are still campsites available around the state. Parks that still have campsites for the Labor Day weekend are mostly located in the Upper Peninsula, the northeastern Lower Peninsula and the Detroit Metro area. Jody Johnston, Supervisor at the Holland State Park advises people to call the 800 number for reservations before going to the park. So if you’re hoping to get a camping trip in on Labor Day make sure you call 800-447-2757 or visit Michigan.gov/dnr.
