LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Senate Minority Leader Gretchen Whitmer is blaming infighting among Senate Republicans for a delay in advancing Medicaid reform in the state. Speaking to reporters at the state Capitol Thursday, the East Lansing Democrat called it a "civil war" on the Republican side of the aisle between the Tea Party and those who support the governor's Medicaid plan. Whitmer added Democrats are ready to sign on to the bill that passed the state House and supported by Governor Snyder to expand Medicaid by 470-thousand people currently without insurance.
