HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The countdown to a new Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association football campaign is underway with the Thursday release of the league's preseason poll. Adrian (9-2, 6-2 MIAA) was tabbed to repeat as conference champions, while Hope, Albion and Trine were put in a three-way tie for second; Hope garnered two of the seven first-place votes. Olivet, Kalamazoo and Alma rounded out the survey.
Hope begins play at North Park on September 7 before hosting Millikin the following Saturday in the formal dedication of the newly-named Ray & Sue Smith Stadium. All of the action will air on WYVN-FM 92.7 The Van; Hope Coach Dean Kreps will appear every Friday morning on 1450 WHTC with the Hope Sports Roundtable with Ron Wetherbee and Adam Prince.
