UNDATED (WHTC) -- The economy of West Michigan is still up but a bit slower than it’s been in recent months. That’s according to a press release issued by the Institute for Supply Management. Dr. Brian Long, the director of Supply Management Research in the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University, says that data collected during the last two weeks of July indicates a slowdown in business activity. As to where the economy stands right now, Dr. Long says auto sales are rising, home sales are rising, property values are on the upswing in many places so for the short term, the economy is in pretty good shape.
