TALLMADGE TWP., MI (WHTC) -- A 19-year-old Grand Rapids woman is in the hospital with critical injuries as a result of apparent horseplay. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that their office received a call about a traffic accident just after 1 PM on Saturday.  Sergeant Chris Koster says that the accident happened in Tallmadge Township on Fennessy St. near 4th Ave. Koster says an 18-year-old Grandville woman, Kelsey Smith was driving when her passengers decided they wanted to ride on the rear bumper of her vehicle. Kaitlin Seeback fell off the bumper on to the roadway. She was taken by Life Ambulance to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and was initially listed in critical condition. No one else was injured and the accident remains under investigation.
