LANSING (WKZO) -- A new poll on the upcoming U.S. Senate race in Michigan finds equal support for Democrat Gary Peters and Republican Terri Lynn Land.
The Lambert, Edwards and Associates survey found 39-percent favor Peters, 39-percent support Land with 22-percent still undecided. They are looking to replace U.S. Senator Carl Levin who is retiring after his current term expires. While Peters and Land have strong support in their own parties, 41-percent of those who describe themselves as independent voters were undecided.
U.S. Congressman Dave Camp announced this week that he is considering a run for the Senate seat but has not said when he will announce his final decision.
