SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - A 25-year-old Pinconning man who came to the Lakeshore for a job opportunity has died. Authorities pulled the body of Jeffrey Woodruff from the waters of Kalamazoo Lake in Saugatuck yesterday afternoon, less than 72 hours after he was last seen at Wally’s Bar and Grill on Hoffman Street, with only a cell phone left in nearby Wickes Park to indicate his whereabouts. Family members and friends made the three-hour drive from the Saginaw Bay community, arriving on Monday night, in the hopes of finding him. State police investigators will await results of an autopsy before confirming a cause of death, but at this point, they don’t believe that Woodruff was the victim of foul play.
