HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- There was dancing in the streets of downtown Zeeland last night as the count down to the Tulip Time Festival continues. Students from both Zeeland’s East and West High Schools have trained for months in the fine art of Tulip Time-style klompen dancing. Zeeland Director of Zeeland High School Dutch Dance, Nicole Prins says the dancers have practiced twice a week since January in preparation for Tulip Time. Zeeland-area businesses and the DeKlomp Wooden Shoe Factory have supported the public dance for eight years. You can see the group dance again during the Tulip Time Festival, which starts this coming Saturday.
