UNDATED (WHTC) - Miguel Cabrera's three-run homer capped a four-run seventh inning for the Tigers last night, as they went on to complete a weekend sweep of visiting Atlanta, 8-3. Detroit opens a three-game series versus Minnesota this evening. Coverage from Comerica Park on 1450 WHTC begins at 6:40 PM.

Giancarlo Stanton cracked two homers and drove in four runs, powering Miami past the visiting Cubs yesterday, 6-4. Chicago starts a three-game series against San Diego at Wrigley Field tonight.

David Price scattered six hits with nine strikeouts over seven innings, pitching visiting Tampa Bay past the White Sox yesterday, 8-3. Chicago begins a three-game series at Texas tomorrow evening.

The NHL issued its playoff marching orders yesterday. Tomorrow evening, the Red Wings open up a best-of-seven Western Conference Quarterfinal series in Anaheim, while the Blackhawks are at home to Minnesota to start their own best-of-seven set.
