YPSILANTI (WKZO) -- Originally built by Henry Ford in 1941 to build B-24 bombers, and later sold to General Motors, an Ypsilanti plant faces demolition.

The trust that controls the former GM Willow Run Plant now is likely to demolish most of the five-million square foot facility.  The plant has been empty since closing down in December of 2010.

There is a chance that a portion of the plant will be sold to the Yankee Air Museum which is part of the Willow Run Airport.
