HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A house fire in Holland left one dog dead early this morning. Holland fire officials responded to a call about a house on 16th Street between Fairbanks and Lincoln Avenues at 4:17 a.m. today.
On the way to the house, firefighters were advised of potential occupants on the second floor of the house being trapped. Upon arrival, the firefighters conducted a search and rescue of the home, but found no one.
All the residents of the house were unharmed, but a dog that was trapped on the second floor was killed in the fire. The residence sustained significant damage from the flames. The origin and cause of the fire is still being investigated.
