ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A 79-year-old Otsego man remains in the Allegan County Jail on 750 thousand dollars bond after a scheduled preliminary examination for today was recessed to May 9th. The attorney for Marion Conley asked for more time from Allegan District Court Judge William Baillargeon, which was granted, but also requested a lowering of the bond to 100 grand, which was denied. Conley is accused of shooting Jody Snyder to death a month ago at a Valley Township home Snyder was renting from Conley. Investigators claim the murder stemmed from ongoing eviction proceedings.
