HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A month before Tulip Time begins, Holland tourism officials say that their industry is “booming.” Research conducted by Michigan State University pollsters for the Holland Area Convention and Visitors Bureau over a weekend last August showed 2.3 million dollars spent by visitors and residents in and around the Tulip City in that three-day span. The canvassing was done at five events, six locations and many hotels that were at or near capacity. CVB officials say that the information will be used to help target attractions and events for increased exposure. A similar survey is planned during the May 4th through 11th Tulip Time Festival.
