WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - For the second time in as many nights, a house along the Lakeshore was hit by a bullet. Unlike Monday evening’s incident on Riley Street in Park Township, it appears that last night’s shooting of a residence along Port Sheldon Street between 112th and 120th avenues in West Olive was accidental in nature. The unnamed homeowner didn’t hear any gunshots before noticing a bullet lodged in an interior wall, and a hole from the outside where the bullet came in. Nobody inside was hit. A man firing rifles at an adjacent state game area was spotted and interviewed by sheriff's deputies. but no charges were immediately filed, as an investigation continues.
