LANSING (WKZO) -- Fishermen will be able to use spears to fish in Houghton Lake from this point forward.  Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley signed legislation this week which tossed out a ban on the practice on that lake dating back to 1940, calling it "outdated."  Spearfishing is legal on most lakes in Michigan.
