LANSING (WKZO) -- Police statewide made 283 drunk driving arrests in an end of the summer crackdown. Of those, 52 drivers were arrested for having a blood alcohol content of 0.17 or higher. The sting was in place from August 16th through September 3th. Preliminary figures from the Michigan State Police show nine people were killed in car accidents over the Labor Day weekend.
