ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) - Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a single-vehicle crash west of the Grand Valley State campus during the overnight hours. Authorities say that 21-year-old Eric Graverson of Allendale was driving eastbound on Pierce Street, approaching 56th Avenue, when he lost control of his SUV. It went off of the roadway and struck a tree, and rescue crews had to extricate him. Graverson was flown to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital in serious condition with multiple injuries. He was buckled up at the time of the crash.
