LANSING (WTVB) - The presidential candidates are set to debate and negotiations are underway for the two local congressional candidates to have at it. However, debates between Senator Debbie Stabenow and Pete Hoekstra remain up in the air. She says she has agreed to two, which has been a tradition in the senate races since the mid 90’s. Hoektra is holding out for 6 debates that would be televised and won’t agree to just the two. She may not give him a choice.
