JAMESTOWN, MI (WHTC) - A car with three teenagers, apparently on its way to school in the Hudsonville district, never made it there this morning.
According to Sheriff's Sergeant Mike Bagladi, 17-year-old Lauren Schierbeck was driving a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy in her car as it stopped for a stop sign on northbound 16th Avenue in Jamestown, while 23-year-old Trever Potjer of Grandville was in a westbound garbage truck on Riley Street. Due to foggy windows, she didn’t see the truck coming as she pulled into the intersection and into the path of the truck. All of the youths were taken to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital for treatment of minor injuries; Potjer wasn’t hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
