LANSING (WTVB) - Governor Rick Snyder leaves for China today for the second time in his administration on a trade trip. Snyder’s office says the 9-day journey will “focus on strengthening relationships and developing pathways for increasing Michigan exports to the country”. The Governor is scheduled to meet with Chinese industrial leaders, open a Michigan Trade Center and give a speech at a trade conference. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation will concurrently be leading a delegation of business leaders from 21 Michigan companies to China, with the same basic mission. They will meet up with the Governor’s delegation at some points in the trip but will not be traveling with him.
