COVERT, MI (WHTC) - A special seven-member investigative team from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission begins a supplemental inspection of the Palisades plant in Covert today. From now through September 28^th, the group will go into the reasons why the facility was closed twice this summer for a total of six weeks due to separate leaks, as well as the “safety culture” at the complex that has led to a downgrade of Palisades’ ranking.
