EAST LANSING (WKZO) -- The Anti-Defamation League believes that the assault of a Michigan State University student last month was not a hate crime. 19-year-old Zachary Tennen told authorities that the two people who attacked him on August 26th had chanted "Heil Hitler" and gave a Nazi salute while stapling his mouth shut before knocking him unconscious. A statement released by the Anti-Defamation League on Friday stated that based on interviews with more than 50 witnesses, the East Lansing police have concluded that the assault was not a hate crime.
