HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Lakeshore gas prices are averaging just a hair under $4.00 per gallon in polling conducted this morning, with rates ranging from $3.88 to $4.09. Costs have increased by two dimes over a seven-day span, and are up 28 cents from this time last year. Industry observers believe that fears surrounding the anniversary of the 9-11 attack, followed by the turbulence in the Middle East, led to the hike in crude oil futures that fueled this latest spike at the pump. Triple-A’s daily polling had marks of $3.87 nationally and $4.04 statewide.
