LANSING (WKZO) -- Jeffrey Handley is facing a felony charge of malicious destruction of a tomb or memorial and two misdemeanors in connection to the graffiti defacing of the state Capitol and war memorial. The 20-year-old Lansing man was arraigned yesterday, shortly after being arrested by Lansing Community College police. Handley is accused of spray painting large stick figures on two columns of the Capitol and writing "Give art a chance" on the war memorial. Similar incidents at LCC led police to him.
