FLINT (WKZO) -- Flint's city council is suing Emergency Financial Manager Ed Kurtz, and doing so individually to try to restore local control of the city. The council is not recognizing that when the new emergency manager law was suspended before a referendum in November, the former Public Act 72 went back into effect according to Attorney General Bill Schuette. Attorney Glenn Cotton is representing the council members and is also running for judge in Genesee County, saying that it's a "shame" the city council has no legal resources to fight against Kurtz.
