WEST BLOOMFIELD (WKZO) -- Over one-thousand people gathered Tuesday outside the West Bloomfield Police Department to honor officer Patrick O'Rourke who was killed in the line of duty Sunday night. Members of O'Rourke's family, officers from several metro Detroit municipalities and people from communities from around the state took part in last night's candlelight vigil. Authorities say O'Rourke was fatally shot by 50-year-old Ricky Coley, who had barricaded himself in his home and was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a nearly 20 hour standoff with police.
