DETROIT (WKZO) -- Bob Bashara will be in court for a hearing Thursday morning to challenge his 15-million dollar bond in his solicitation of murder case. He was arrested in June and has been held in the Wayne County Jail for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill Joe Gentz, a handyman who told police the Grosse Pointe Park businessman forced him to kill his wife, Jane Bashara, in January.
In his motion for a reduced bond, Bashara's attorney has asked for an amount which would assure the court his client would appear for trial, while not endangering the public. Bashara has not been charged in his wife's murder, but has been called a person of interest in the case.
