LANSING (WKZO) -- Four Moroun family members have maxed out their political donations to two Michigan Supreme Court justices running for re-election.

Ambassador Bridge owner Manuel Moroun, his wife Nora, son Matthew and Matthew's wife, Lindsay, donated a combined 27-thousand dollars in June.  The 34-hundred dollars donated by each of the Marouns to Republican-nominated Justices Stephen Markman and Brian Zahra is the maximum allowed under state law.

The family made the donations as a certification was pending for their ballot proposal aimed at blocking a new bridge to Canada.
