DOUGLAS, MI (WHTC) - Negotiations are underway between the campaigns of Republican incumbent Congressman Fred Upton and Democratic challenger Mike O’Brien of Douglas for a series of debates ahead of the November 6th General Election. O’Brien wants to take on Upton in every county of the district, meaning a total of six debates, as well as a regional televised meeting in Grand Rapids. Upton had two primary debates against Jack Hoogendyk.
