LANSING, MI (WHTC) - The state Court of Appeals has upheld the first-degree murder conviction of 27-year-old Justin Terpstra, who along with his 25-year-old fiancée Alison Martin, conspired to kill her former boyfriend Brandon Silverlight in November of 2009. His beaten and stabbed body was found in a burned-out vehicle in Casco Township. Terpstra had claimed coerced statements he made to detectives should have been suppressed during his trial.
