HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The future of natural gas to provide energy for the Tulip City is the subject of two evenings of public hearings by the board of the Holland Board of Public Works, beginning tonight at the Doubletree Hotel. The municipal utility is exploring a number of options for providing electricity over the next 25 years, including a study’s recommendation to convert the DeYoung Power Plant from a coal-fired to a natural gas-fired facility.
