LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Pete Hoekstra, the Republican nominee for US Senate, didn’t immediately accept incumbent Debbie Stabenow’s offer of two debates prior to the November 6th General Election. The Lansing Democrat agreed to face off against the former Congressman from Holland at Grand Valley State’s Grand Rapids campus and before the Economic Club of Detroit; no dates mentioned. Hoekstra had challenged Stabenow to six debates.
