SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - One of two proposed development plans was put on hold by Singapore Dunes LLC last night. The holding company for Aubrey McClendon told the Saugatuck Township Zoning Board last night that it wants to focus on a new residential plan, for township planners to see at their next meeting on November 26^th, before it moves forward on six variance requests that deals with a proposed hotel, marina and condo. Singapore Dunes wants to build that luxury complex on 310 acres near the mouth of the Kalamazoo River; environmentalists want to keep the northern portion of the former Denison property in a natural state.
