DETROIT (WKZO) -- After investing millions of dollars to back Proposal Six, billionaire Matty Moroun might face some problems if the proposal is passed.
According to the language of Prop-6, all bridge and tunnel construction in the state, retroactive to January 1st, 2012, would have to be voter approved. The Gateway Project, providing access to the Moroun-owned Ambassador Bridge, was not opened until after January 1st this year.
Moroun's companies have pumped more than 31-million dollars into the support of the proposal. Moroun is opposed to construction of a government supported second span across the Detroit River to Canada.
