HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - An attemped torching of a house on Holland's West Side on Wednesday morning is being investigated as a possible gang-related retaliation action. Neighbors saw a Molotov cocktail thrown through a window at a residence in the 200 block of West 17th Street, west of Washington Avenue, just before 6 AM, but it did not ignite. Responding Public Safety Officers found three additional glass bottles filled with gasoline that had been thrown at the house, but they also failed to ignite. Four unnamed persons in the home, including a nine-year-old girl, were not hurt. No suspects are in custody, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Holland Department of Public Safety or Silent Observer (877-88-SILENT, http://mosotips.com).
