HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Authorities say that there was only bumps and bruises to a Holland trucker, but morning commuters had to find a different way to get into the Tulip City from Holland’s North Side after a semi loaded with parts from the JCI plant went onto its side just south of the River Avenue Bridge. It is believed that driver John Williams may have attempted the sharp turn from the bridge onto Pine Street at too fast of speed and lost control of his rig, striking a tree and causing it to tilt down to the left. It took crews over three hours to clean up the scene and fully reopen the road. Williams was ticketed as a result of going too fast for the conditions.
