WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - A Holland man died while pedaling his bike late last night. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Austin, 27-year-old Rachel Bekkering of Zeeland was driving her SUV southbound on 112^th Avenue in West Olive just before 11 PM and was apparently blinded by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction just before New Holland Street. She struck Devin Warne from behind, with the force of the collision sending the man into a ditch, and Warne died at the scene. Bekkering was buckled up and not injured. The incident remains under investigation.
