DORR, MI (WHTC) - Seven unnamed Allegan County teens are nursing bruises, cuts and other injuries after the van that they were in overturned yesterday morning. An unnamed 18-year-old man driving the Chevy Tahoe apparently fell asleep while driving on 146th Avenue near 19th Street north of Dorr. The vehicle went into a ditch and flipped over. Four girls and three boys, all aged between 15 and 18, had stopped at a nearby fast food restaurant for breakfast after a sleepover at the driver’s home. Four of the youths were briefly hospitalized, while the others were released to the custody of their parents. Sheriff’s deputies cited the driver for reckless driving, but say that all involved tested negative for any controlled substance as the crash remains under investigation.
