UNDATED (WHTC) - It was a Saturday of mixed results for Hope College athletic teams. Ryan Hargraves threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, as Trine beat the football Dutchmen at Holland Municipal Stadium, 45-28. Hope is off next Saturday, but returns to action on November 10 when the Dutchmen travel to Albion, with broadcast time on 92.7 The Van at 12:40 PM.

In soccer action, the Dutchmen beat Trine, 2-0, but the Dutch fell to Calvin, 2-0. The volleyball Dutch posted victories over both St. Mary's and Wheaton in South Bend. Both cross country teams finished second at the MIAA championship meet in Albion. Finally, in swimming and diving, the Dutch defeated both St. Mary's and Alma, while the Dutchmen downed Alma.
