GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Lake Michigan is at near-historic low levels along with Lake Huron.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the lakes are just two inches above their all-time low level for October at 576.6-feet. The record low for the month was set in 1968.
Engineers are expecting the two lakes to fall another three inches by the start of December and say they are 28-inches lower than the average level for this time of year.
