DETROIT (WKZO) -- A group of Detroit residents held a vigil in southwest Detroit Thursday to remember the victims of violent crimes allegedly committed at Patton Park. Those residents believe there is a serial killer on the loose in the area, but police dispute those claims.
Commander John Serda of the Southwest District told the "Detroit News" that the rumors are not true and he would be asking for the public's help if a serial killer was in the area. Police say there was an assault of a woman at the park last week, but it's not known if the woman was raped.
Reports of three other attacks on prostitutes took place on Michigan Avenue between Livernois and Martin Road.
