HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - MAX Transit officials are admitting some “surprising trends” as results of the system’s annual passenger survey were disclosed to the Macatawa Area Express Transportation Authority Board on Monday. In polling conducted from September 17th through the 22nd by MP2 Planning of Muncie, Indiana, 95 percent of fixed route riders and 97 percent of Reserve-a-MAX passengers ranked overall customer satisfaction as “excellent to good,” while the phone reservation experience had a 96 percent ranking in that category. There were increases in ridership among those aged 29 and younger, and more than a third had only been riding the Holland area’s buses for a year or less. MAX officials will use the polling data to help determine new services and improve existing practices. Full results of the annual survey are available through www.catchamax.org.
