TALLMADGE TWP., MI (WHTC) - Two men were injured, one critically, after a single vehicle crash just west of the Ottawa-Kent county line on Saturday night. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Buter, 37-year-old Robert Cain of Grand Rapids was driving his sports car westbound on Luce Street in Tallmadge Township, with 36-year-old Michael Crusan of Flat Rock as a passenger, when he lost control of his vehicle just past 8th Avenue. After losing control, the car veered to the left and spun 180 degrees before slamming into a tree rear first. This stretch of Luce Street is winding, as it follows along the Grand River. Both Cain and Crusan were taken to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital, with Crusan initially listed in critical condition, and Cain treated and released. Buter didn’t give any other details about the crash, as the incident remains under investigation.
