DETROIT (WKZO) -- 24-thousand runners and others took to the streets of Detroit and Windsor Sunday for the 35th running of the Detroit Free Press Marathon. The vast majority were from Michigan. There were, however, participants from every state in the nation and from 16 countries. The event took runners across the Ambassador Bridge, through five miles of neighboring Windsor before the one-mile underwater return to home turf via the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
