LANSING (WKZO) -- Margaret O'Riley has been picked by Governor Rick Snyder to be the new director of the Michigan Film Office. She had been the director of strategic planning for the Michigan Department of State and was a senior advisor to Secretary of State Ruth Johnson and Johnson's chief of staff.
O'Riley is taking over for Carrie Jones, who left the Michigan Film Office to become the executive director of the Michigan Venture Capital Association. The film office works to attract production companies to the state and promotes the state's film industry.
